Why Rotterdam?

"Rotterdam is a fantastic city. I love the diversity, all the cultures there and the way they mix, the international atmosphere. There are so many possibilities in the city: there is always something to do, and always nearby. I just like the hustle and bustle of the city."

What did you learn in Rotterdam?

"Just do it! Don't hesitate but take your chances. In my case, that even resulted in a new company. For my training we developed an innovative product to put on the market, the Clip-It. It's actually a simple thing; 2 clips with an elastic band in between, which allows you to easily and safely cycle a skirt or dress. The Clip-It is already available on our website Clip-It.nu."

Where should you be?
"Very simple: hit the streets. Enjoy all the people around you, the food from all these different countries that you can buy on every corner and everything you see and hear along the way. Rotterdam is a city you have to walk through."

What should you really do (or not do) as a freshman?
"You can find gyms everywhere in Rotterdam. From super luxurious to very basic. There are always a few near your course. Just bring your gym clothes, work out for half an hour before class or college and go back to your studies freshly showered. I do that a few times a week. Some gyms are expensive, but you can always request a free day pass to get acquainted. If you keep doing that somewhere else, you don't have to go broke."

What are you going to do?
"After the vacations I'll do another internship abroad and then I'll graduate. Really crazy idea! In any case, after that I'll stay busy with Clip-It, and with TSA, my self-care website for women. Furthermore, I hope to move from Spijkenisse to Rotterdam soon. My parents call me crazy, they think the city is way too busy, but I'm totally into it."
