Artwork The Bridges
Art for and from students
A work of art for and by students, that is the work 'The Bridges'. Anna de Jong, Jolie Martijnse and Fleur van Rijn are first-year students of the Interior Design program at the Wood and Furnishings College. Together they designed a unique artwork to welcome new students to Rotterdam. Student Lea Schouls has written a beautiful poem to accompany it. This poem can be found on the artwork.
The artwork symbolizes Rotterdam's iconic bridges, connecting the north and south sides of the city. It invites new students to meet and make their own connections.
The artwork is a great place to show the outside world that your study time in Rotterdam has begun! Take cool selfies with 'De Bruggen' in the background or take an artistic photo of this unique artwork. Then share them on your socials with the hashtags #rotterdamleertjeleven and #rotterdammakeithappen.
